Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 28, 2005 Updated: Apr 20, 2008An amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with light caramelic notes. The flavor is sweet caramelic combined with quite a lot of alcohol - surprising for such a low ABV beer, the flavor is also slighlty dusty. Too simple, which makes it somewhat boring. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 21, 2004 Updated: Dec 23, 2004Bottled. Clear dark amber, rich head. Big toffee aroma. Sweet, soft and rounded with oak and caramel dominating. More focused on malt flavours than hops, which is scarce among American microbrewers. Very pleasant! Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 25, 2008 (Bottle 65 cl) Clear, amber golden with tiny, floating impurities and a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with notes of caramel and overripe fruit. Dry, clean finish with only a discreet bitterness. Nice and quaffable. 190408 yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 20, 2008 Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #6: Pours slight cloudy with a lacing white head. Wet cardboard and light spiced aroma. Flavour is light fruity with a mild oxidised note. Light bitterness and mild fruit note into the finish.
