Bottled. Very dark amber colour with mediumsuized beige head. Aroma has vanilla, raisins, alcohol and a lot of wood in it. Flavour is again raisins, spices, tar, vanilla, wood and some alcohol. Also a lot of salted licorace when warming up a bit. Just lovely. Thanks to omhper for bringing this goodie!

Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Cloudy dark ruby, creamy beige head. Well oaked vanilla aroma. Sweet and very malty, full bodied. Salty and intense with menthe and licorice. Notes of molasses and wood. Fairly bitter finish. Feels exclusiev and refined, but doesn’t quite follow through on the fantastic aroma.

Dark nut brown color, small off-white head. Very typical aok barrel aroma: vanilla, coconut, oak and perfumes, beer to sniff! Full-bodied. Soft palate. Flavor: sweet vanilla, salt licorice, fudge and cream liquer. Lots of licorice in the aftertaste. Nicely rounded, sweetish oak barrel aged brew. Thanks Per.

Sampled at the RBSG 07 Grand Tasting. Almost opaque brown pour with a bourbon nose. Well balance between malt and hops in the sweet body. Faint vanilla and oak from the bourbon.

(Bottled, 0.66l) Very dark brown with a small head. Very oaky, slightly licoricey aroma with lots of coconut, vanilla, some smoke and port. Full-malty, very oaky flavor with vanilla and coconut, port - some alcohol, too. Medium to full in body, with hardly any carbonation. A bold and beautiful beer, with the oak being surprisingly balanced despite the amount of it. Some alcohol still present, so could age a bit.

RBSG 2007. What magnificent bastard brought this?! Dark brown color with no head. Large oak and vanilla aroma. Both are very prominent in the flavor as well. Big malt, slight bitterness. Simple but nice.
