Sep 22, 2008 22oz bottle. Been hanging onto this one for a while, finally cracked it. Pours a deep chocolate brown with a 2 finger beige head that dissipated quickly. Amazing aromas of dark fruits, toffee, caramel, chocolate and coffee. Flavor held much of the same with the booze being hidden pretty well for 11%. This beer definitely lived up to all the hype.

Sep 14, 2008 Thanks to bitbucket tasting. Light brown w/ thin head. Lots of nutty bourbon, oak and roasted malts with caramel. Good, but too much barrel and not enough beer.

A very good and rare offering.
Pours clear brown, with white head.
Aroma and taste were very sweet, roasted with caramel. Oaky, leaving a liquor-like aftertaste.

Sep 10, 2008 Bottle, at BA Throwdown #2. Pours a dark reddish brown color, fizzy head, and creamy lacing. Some caramel notes, and sweet dark fruit, intense notes of chocolate and interesting coffee. Cinnamon flavors, chocolate, very spicy, lovely oakey notes. Full body, smooth, crisp and drinkable. Very good.

Sep 9, 2008 Dark brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, whiskey and wood. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, whiskey, caramel, chocolate and alcohol. Good complexity and waming alcohol in the end. Nice!

Sep 8, 2008 Deep reddish colour with a tan head. Light roasted and chocolate sweet aroma with notes of fruit, oak, hops and alcohol. Malty, fruity sweet flavor with chocolate sweet noites and hints of vanilla and alcohol. Nice!

Sep 7, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Tony @ Oldsmar Tap House, the best place to grab a beer in the Tampa Bay area. Pours a clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, sweet malt, caramel, dark fruit, alcohol, and a hint of roasted malt. Taste is the same as aroma but more prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and very smooth alcohol. Such a wonderfull and rare treat. Thanks Tony!!!
