Pours a lightly red copper color with a small off-white head. Slightly spiced caramel malt aroma. Flavor is a light malty taste at first, maybe a little peppery and sweet. A nice transition to a small hop finish that doesn’t linger long and leaves little bitterness.

Bottle. Bronze color with small, wispy off white head. Slightly malty and oaky aroma. The malt and hops seemed to be pretty balanced with a strong oak taste, and some nutty notes. The oak flavor seems to intensify as it warms, to the point that the last few drops can taste like licking an oak barrel. Went well with the pot roaste stew I ate it with, and would work well with similar dishes.

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, amber golden with tiny, floating impurities and a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit and caramel. Medium-bodied with notes of caramel and overripe fruit. Dry, clean finish with only a discreet bitterness. Nice and quaffable. 190408

Draught Rim of whitish foam, pale amber-chestnut beer. Discreet hoppy nose, flowery, just a touch grapey, very complex, yet subtile. Flowery, discretely hopped IPA, ends on a slight carameled chestnut note. Light to medium bodied, sweetish aftertaste. Nice, subtle, clean. English in stead of overpowering.

On tap, attractive pour with deep amber color and decent off white head. Sweet malt nose with a bit of sugars. Mellow, easy drinking with a mellow malt forward flavor, ushered out by a subtle hoppiness that carries to the finish.
