Nicely flavored English PA. Strong taste of chocolate and some sweet bread. Some yeast taste. Finishes with oak tones and a floral, not too spicy hop flavor. Unsweeted cocoa flavor compliments the hops well.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a thin whitish head. Oak/caramel flavors with some spicey/earthy hop aroma/ underlying flavor. Unfiltered version: 6-4-7-3-13 more vanilla/nuttiness and somewhat more mellow. A much better beer.

GABF 2004 Golden in color with a small white head. Aroma of bread, malt and floral hops. Moderately bitter clean and hoppy.

Personal Milestone - U.S.A. rating #600 (out of 1121)! And it’s a nice session ale, bright copper in color with a head that’s rapidly reduced to a film. It has a mild roasted malt flavor with some caramel and light herbal hop bitterness. The three are carried into the flavor of this smooth, light-bodied drink. It has a lightly bitter finish that sets you up for the next bottle.

[bottled] Very nice looking English Pale Ale, dark copper golden. Aroma not as strong as hoped for, though good. Soft and round palate, with a roasted flavor with a hint of caramel. Great beer!

Large sized off white head is mostly lasting with nice lacing. Normal clarity with medium depth amber hue. malty, toasted bread aroma. Smooth malty flavor with the sweetness moderate by a decent presence of hops. Very tasty. Had my second one after having an Oaked Arrogant Bastard. Could hardly taste the Double Barrel because that Bastard ruined my palet.

That’s one fine-smelling ale! It’s good to be back in America where there are noticable hops in the beers. Faintly reminiscent of Sierra Nevada, but not as strong..excellent stuff - best of its kind i’ve had for sure.
