Pours with a one-fingered off-white head that fades slowly and leaves traces of lace. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Cloudy amber color. Nose is slightly malty. Starts with some sweet undertones and finishes with a even mix of hops and malt. $1.79 for a 12oz bottle.

Draft. Brown with copper overtones. Not much of a light brown head. Good nose, and nice hops. Good balance. This is one of those brews that somehow adds up to more than the sum of the parts. Re-rate: From a 22 oz bottle poured the color of strong tea with a large white head. I like to pour my own as you can control temperature and the head. This was better than the draft, but was a bit warmer I think which I think helps.

Bottled 12 oz. Clear copper/brown. small head. Hoppy floral smell with a malt background. Moderate carbonation with matly taste. Basic ale. OK. Trying to be a Burton on Trent type ale but is lacking the hard water characteristics. Multiple tastings.

An american attempt at the English Pale Ale, and not a bad one at that. Pours a nice copper color, white head. Nose is mostly pine and hops, with a slight undertone of sweet cotton candy-like malts. Excellently subdued flavors. Malts are magnficent. Pine and tar on the forefrontfading into an alcoholic astringency that is warming and welcome. A slight tinge of roastedness, but ending mostly with vanilla and bourbon and a touch of caramel. Clean hop bitterness and clean ale yeast. Excellent beer

(Draft) Dark amber with a dense tan head. Malty aroma with a bit of hops. Toffee flavors with smooth malts slightly hopped for some balance. Really nicely done I drank my first one so quick I had to have another. Try it you’ll see.

Bottle. Deep amber color with a off white head. Malty aroma with a hint of hops. Sweet malt flavor, offset with some hoppy bitterness, caramel and a bit of an earthy flavor (probably from the oak). Finish is very pleasant, the hops tending to dominate. A fine brew, definitely something I could appreciate and drink every day.

Bottled. Clear dark amber, rich head. Big toffee aroma. Sweet, soft and rounded with oak and caramel dominating. More focused on malt flavours than hops, which is scarce among American microbrewers. Very pleasant!
