| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Attractive aroma of spice and caramel, and very drinkable - gentle bitterness and dry-ish finish with just a smidgen of lingering sweetness, but dominated by munich malt flavours - a bit too bready, rather than toasty. greig (172), Hamilton, New Zealand

Toasted bread also on the palate, with some spicy notes and an underlying hint of vanilla. Lingering sweetish finish. Pleasant. Very sessionable. blankboy (3250), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus & biegaman -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy orange-amber with lots of tiny sediment and a small diminishing white head -- almost looks like a Barley Wine. Aroma’s fruity and malty along with brown sugar, some oak and light hops. Slightly watery, semi-sweet flavour of fruit, caramel malt and light earthy hops. Average bodied. This is underrated, I quite liked it. wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA
