Malty, herbal hops, sweet caramel, and slightly tart aroma. Interesting. Flavor has sweet malts, some fruits, and tea leaves. Not at all what I was expecting but enjoyable anyway. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 26, 2009 Boring not very good, but just about all that fresno has to offer. Picked up a 12 pack hoping for something better but didn’t get it. Pours amber with white head. Has hardly any flavor on the nose and going down. Not recommended to others. Another boring beer to add to the list. seanbhudson (54), , California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 19, 2009 APPEARANCE: Pours a clear amber color with a relatively small off white with average retention. There is a little bit of lacing.
AROMA:
Light aroma of biscuit like malts and caramel.
TASTE:
Lightly toasted malts with a light caramel sweetness that is balanced with a little woody bitterness that must come from the barrels. There is also a hint of smokiness.
MOUTHFEEL
Light to medium body with a relatively dry texture. Light fizzy carbonation.
DRINKABILITY:
Very drinkable but needs a little more flavor to make it interesting. The dry finish also means it is not thirst quenching.

Strong bite of flavor in beginning but tapers off at the end of the swallow. Overall a good drinkable beer that I would order again.
