The aroma is sweet hoppy with light caramelic notes. The flavor is sweet caramelic combined with quite a lot of alcohol - surprising for such a low ABV beer, the flavor is also slighlty dusty. Too simple, which makes it somewhat boring. Papsoe (15091), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Sweet, soft and rounded with oak and caramel dominating. More focused on malt flavours than hops, which is scarce among American microbrewers. Very pleasant! joergen (8617), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2003 Brownish-red body with a medium tan head. Aroma is invitingly floral and grapefruit hoppy, oaky, and sweet. Medium sweet flavor, toasty malty. The hops are fairly flavorful on the tongue, but the bitterness only appears in the aftertaste. Nice beer, but the flavor doesn’t deliver on the promise of the aroma.
