Nice aromas of wood and leather. Flavors exhibit some alcohol hotness but also some nice notes of toastiness and wood. In addition there is some caramel and butterscotch. A complex beer that is more subtle than most bourbon barrel aged beers. BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Aug 9, 2009 On Tap at Blue Palms. Small tan head over a beautiful hazed amber body. Lightly hoppy with a few dark fruits and some toffee. Taste is rich with toffee, cherry, plum, and coconut milk. Silky mouthfeel. Light bubbles...great. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Jun 19, 2009 Draft. Rich amber beer with alight tan head. Toffee aroma with a bit of spice.
