From a growler shared by DuffManSW, thanks for sharing Sean. Rating #44. Very clear darkish gold pour with a very nice fat white head and real good lacing. Great hop aroma, a little sweet and citrusy. Flavor was a little sweet as well, more citrus and a slight fruitiness as well, not to mention a nice lingering dose of hops that lasted for awhile, very well done. Good stuff. (1029)

On tap @ Toronado SD. Clear golden with a small off-white head, low retention. Lots of overly sweet citrus, peach, and caramel in the nose. Flavor is much the same with too much sweetness. Bitterness peaks @ a 5 in the dry finish with just a little alcohol. Medium body with light prickly carbonation. The pint of Alpine Nelson rocked this 5 times more. In conclusion, I didn’t love this beer much.

Pours a clear amber with a solid off-white head. thick floral nose, quite perfumey, with maybe some orange blossom. Thick, syrupy mouth with flavors of orange blossom, flowers, and sweetness. I mean, it gets good flavors out of the ingrediants but its way too syrupy thick and sweet for my liking.

Sampled at GABF. Big, piny hoppy aroma. Some sweet malt too. Flavor is oily resin hops, big hop flavor. Mouthfeel was nice, thick, but not syrupy. Pretty impressed with this one.

Smelled of of piney hops. Tasted of toffee and tons of hops. It was kind of oily in the mouth but overall was fantastic.

Poured a golden orange with thin blanket of a head. Nose of grassy hops and piney hops. Taste is nice and malty, sweet with table sugar, toffee, good amount of sweetness, tons of hop bitterness, hop flavor is similar to the nose, lots of grassy and piney hops. Fairly oily with hop resin. A very big beer that was more of a sipper than i intended to order, but a very solid DIPA offering.

Draft @ Sac Brew. Pours a bright, clear orange color; creamy off-white head with forever lacing; great pour. A basic aroma of sweet fruitiness, nondescript; some orange and earthy hoppiness comes into play; still, lax. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: very sweet, sticky candy sugar and candied orange sweetness; a very disappointing, flabby presence in the mouth; one-sided sweetness. Lasting finish: the candy sugar and oranges eventually dissipate into a basic bitterness that should have appeared long before this.

Tap @ Witsend pub in Hill crest. Pours a deep lightly hazed copper color with a small off white head. faint aromas of citrus hops and some metallic maltiness. Flavor was also very grainy with some hop bitterness. I would like to try this beer again out of a tulip (not a pub glass like it was served in) and not after a long ass day, and I’ll re rate it. Sampled again at Blind Lady on October 18th. Nice citrus peel and overall better flavor than the first time I tried it.
