Flavors are gloriously mango and pineapple summer fruits. Very balanced and way easy to drink. I hope this beer makes the regular rotation from Firestone. Hoppy goodness aroma, mango, exotic fruits, caramel and table sugar. Taste is mango and exotic hops (no other way to describe it; it is a jungle of hops!) nicely balanced out caramel malt backing. Medium carbonation. Great. JoeTheYounger (266), California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Bright sunny gold, sticky white head. Resiny aroma of blended hops. Some honey sweetness stands up a bit to the powerful gummy hop drippings. This balance continues into the finish, great job. marcus (1877), Sacramento, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 28, 2009 On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This amber ale poured with a decent beige head and a floral aroma. The flavor is fairly well-balanced between caramel malt and hop bitterness. Very mellow and tasty. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2009 On tap. Clear amber golden with a yellowish beige head. Intense aroma hops in the nose - peach in particular - with loads of caramel. Quite full-bodied, lots of caramel and fruit with great hoppy peach accents. Yum. 090709 elihapa (1066), Honolulu, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2009 On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Pours orange-amber with a small cream colored head and tons of lacing. Aroma is a blast of wonderful, juicy, piney-citrus hops. Jeez, there as a bunch of orange, watermelon, grapefruit, and pine in there. Palate is full-bodied, thicker than most DIPAs, a chewy but satisfying liquid. Flavor holds a bunch of hops, though the first sip seriously reminded me of the malt-balanced approach of Union Jack IPA. There is, undoubtedly, a ton of flavor here. What I find interesting is that besides the caramel malt that can be picked up on, Double Jack is essentially a fruit assault – both citrus and sweet. Great beer all in all.
