This is a special brew by Firestone Brewing company brewed especially for The Broken Record bar in San Francisco, CA located on Geneva and Edinburgh. It is a well received brew with a nice cloud and color pallette for a wheat beer. The flavor pallette represents zest of oranges and full body wheat taste. The cloud is as expected for a wheat beer. Not overly filtered but still a nice cloud. I’m not a wheat beer lover so you should try this beer for yourself if you have a true interest in wheat beer. I can tell you it does not taste of flavor extract as Macro wheat does. Enjoy!

Banana and cloves in the nose. Hazy golden color. Spicy bite at the end. Cools you off in the heat.

Tap at Sacramento Brewing. Cloudy, golden color, with an off white head that dissipates quickly. Yeast and wheat in the nose. Dry wheat with heavy fruit and bread. Very good.

Draft @ Toronado. Pours a murky, orangish / pulpy grapefruit color; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Good amounts of bubble gum, esters, and very light white pepper in the aroma; solid hefe note. Medium mouthfeel: chewy bubble gum, Belgian esters, honey and light pepper notes; nicely complex; pleasant hefeweizen. Medium finish: pepper, toasty notes; nicely dry.

On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a white head that leaves nice lace over a murky orange body. Aroma is grainy, with orange and caramel notes. Taste is citrus clove and vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel, and bubbles.

Draught at the brewery. Hazy yellow with a pillowy white head. The aroma has light yeast, banana, lemon, and wheat. The flavor is mostly dry with some wheat graininess, clove spice, lemon, and just a hint of banana. The mouthfeel is on the light side with medium carbonation. This is a very nicely balanced and drinkable hefeweizen that displays a good deal of restraint on the yeast ester and phenol department. More of the crisp, tangy, lemony wheat character comes through, with the clove and banana accents taking a supporting role. Very refreshing stuff. The only area that I would have liked some more robustness would be the mouthfeel, but the lightness also did add to the the drinkability. A good addition for FW, just in time for the warmer weather.

Draft at the brewery tasting room. Nose is lots of banana with wheaty yeasty flavors tossed in. Cloudy yellow orange with a big, glass lacing yellowish white head. Flavor is all banana with a faint bitterness.
