Commercial Description:
Our lightest ale is no light-weight when it comes to flavor. The addition of California produced Buckweat honey lends a subtle sweet accent to this smooth, Easy drinking ale. Great as an introduction to craft brewed beers or for those looking for a lighter beer that is low in bitterness. Honey lends a new and interesting dimension to beer. Goes well with lighter fare and is great on hot summer days.

(Editor’s Note: this is a private label beer that Firestone Walker allows bars and restaurants to relabel and sell as a house beer. If you have any honey blond brewed by Firestone Walker, please enter your rating here.)

Draft at Yard House, Pasadena. A golden beer with a slight chill haze under a rocky medium off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of citrus as well as eucalyptus and honey, reminds me of the freshness a eucalyptus drop gives on the tongue.

From tap at Yards, Pasadena. Pours clear and golden blonde with lacing white head. Aroma is mild caramelish and light fruity too. Flavour is dry and light hoppy yet with a nice caramel malt base. Light tee-ish lasting finish. Mild and easy.

Draft. Poured a clear golden color. Head was white with decent retention and lacing. Aroma was of light hops and malty cereal grain. There was a touch of sweetness on the tongue with flavors of honey touched ceral grain and light sprucy hops.

On tap at 4th Street Pub in SF, with the tap-handle labelled "4th Street Blonde". Deep golde with a frothy white cap. Sweet biscuity malt aroma and flavour with soft honey tones. An approachable flavourful ale with subtle hop haracter and low bitterness.

ON tap at the Chino Hills Yard House; dark gold in color; not much white head. Aroma of honey, buttered bread and flowers; sweet. Flavor of lightly toasted bread, caramel and hints of apple. Easy drinking and actually pretty tasty for the style.
