Aromas of straw and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and dry. Flavors of straw, bread and a hint of honey with a dry finish. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a light note of lemon zest.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Clean, nicely balanced, decent rendition of a light golden lager; if only BMC beers were up to this standard. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 1, 2006 Bottled. Beer is a hazy light gold with a small, white, frothy, mostly and rapdily diminishing head. The aroma is heavy on the lemon: Hoppy with moderate notes of lemon and flower, light herbal note; moderate miscellaneous note of instant iced tea powder...with lemon. Pretty straight-forward, but attractive. The flavor is lightly bitter, lightly acidic, moderately sweet with a long, moderately sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic, moderately astringent finish. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is fizzy. Flamebuster (12), California, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 8, 2006 I first thought I had tasted this brew last weekend at the Firestone picnic and I was most impressed.
Now I know it must have been the Double Barrel Ale or perhaps the Special Reserve. The tap said lager but now that I have tasted the real lager (bottle) it is clear the one on Saturday was marked incorrectly.
The lager tonight poured straw yellow with a small white head. The nose was faint but you did pick up a little hops. The first taste was slightly thin with some hops but without any malt at all. Finish was dry without any lingering taste.
This was sort of like a Heineken or another European pilsner.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 25, 2006 Mediium gold with a tiny bit of white head. Yeasty malt aroma, with a malty flavor with the carbonation tingling your tongue like most lagers, but better flavor than the macro lagers. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Draught at O’Briens: Clear yellow, no head or lacing.. The nose is lightly hoppy with some citrus malt qualities and a surprisingly chewy malt backdrop. The flavor is chewy and nicely malty too. It’s just the perfect level of citrus notes. Lots of character for a lager. Bockyhorsey (2556), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Aroma was grainy and of corn. Goleden botdy color with white head. Flavor had a hevey feel like it was poured on wet cardboard or a wet towel and I had to make an effort to drink this one. Should be no need for effort while having a beer. Well it was wet and I drank it because I was thirsty now I’ll have to find one to quench the taste of this one. Steib (581), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 29, 2005 Very light amber color well carbonated with a nice foamy head. Malty sweet aroma, earthy on the nose. Semi-sweet flavor, fairly well balanced, citrus and malt notes. Very quaffable. Not bad.
