Draft. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of citrus, as well as light notes of wheat and a light acidity. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices, and a good deal of lemon, on a medium malty back ground, leading to a lightly tart finish.

On tap. Hazy yellow with an off-white head. Some discreet fruit in the nose. medium body, fruit and a little yeast and then something that reminds me of discreet Brett. Some yeast in the finish and again some light Bretty accents to balance the fruity sweetness. Interesting. 120709

From tap at Break Water Brewing company as Opal Belgian Saison. Pours hazy to murky yellow/orange with a lacing white head. Spiced and light wheaty aroma, light estery touch. Flavour is dry and fruity hops, mild acidic to sour with a light spice note swept through the beer from start to finish. Ends dry and mild spiced.

Draft... RBSG... Clear, light golden ale with a small white head. Belgian-esque, spicy, fruity nose. Medium-bodied with dancing carbonation. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet, moderately acidic... obviously well-balanced. Fruity, lightly sweet, mildly tangy finish.

Tap at Sacramento Brewing Company. Hazy golden color with a foamy white head. Definite aromas of sour and fruit. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor is mildly Bretty with light stone fruit. Really rather peachy. Finish has a metallic note, but mild funk is the key note. Laced a bit. Very refreshing. Compares more than favorably to Ommegang Bier de Mars. Love saisons.

On tap @ City Beer poured a cloudy gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, pear and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, pear, light yeast and a hint of citrus with a smooth dry lightly bitter finish.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Yeasty, malty, light fruit aroma. Spicy, malty, yeasty flavors. Medium body. LIngering yeast, spice, and malt. Nice body. I thought it’d show some astingency, but there’s none.
