Nov 1, 2007 On tap at Pete’s Brass Rail and Carwash in Danville, CA. It pours gold with thin white head. The aroma is sweet with malts and has a hint of noble hops. The taste is mild and doesn’t come off overly sweet. I get sweet malts balanced somewhat with grainy malts. There’s also a pale maltiness mixed in there too.

Oct 15, 2009 Draft @ Pacific Coast Brewing. Pours a clear, tarnished orange color; off-white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Bland aroma of basic maltiness and no hop character to speak of. Lively, solid carbonation: candy sugar, oranges, touches of lightly syrupy honey; unbalanced, sweet with just a bit of acidity trying to hold things together. Basic, bland Oktoberfest. Medium finish: lasting sweetness, candied oranges, and a light mineral bitterness.

Oct 26, 2008 On tap at PP San Clemente’s Oktoberfest. Interesting idea, an oak-aged Oktoberfest. AFA the beer goes, it’s nothing special and there was some element of the flavor that I couldn’t quite place, but I didn’t enjoy.

Nov 2, 2009 On tap at PP Carlsbad a few weeks back. Color was a rich orange. Aroma of caramel, citrus and crisp malt; a touch bready. Flavor was crisp; caramel, bready and nothing all that special. Expected a bit more.
