so I don’t get it - this is quite close to being an SNPA clone. why bother? another Firestone Walker beer that is clean, well-made...and thoroughly un-inspired. Firestone Walker continue to leaves me cold, especially given all the accolades they have gotten (of course, that’s what GABF types like - clean and un-inspired) daveloch (4), USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Bottle. Pours a nice golden light amber with a quickly dissapating head. Good aroma with definite hoppiness. Taste is the expected Pale Ale fruitiness with a lingering bitterness that is not all that unpleasant. Has been a "go-to" beer for me for a while now. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Nose is citrusy hops, light pine, subtle spicy notes and chewy malt notes. Taste is caramel, sweet, chewy malts, citrus notes, light spicy hops and a touch of evergreen. Body is medium with a light hop bitterness and unobtrusive carbonation. Ends with more citrus, sweet malts, caramel, light citrus, piney hops and lingering bitterness. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear gold in color, thin white head. Great pale ale aroma, nice citrus hop aroma. Taste has some of those same hops but also some sweetness comes across, caramel and vanilla. Nice and balanced, feels fairly light. Finishes nice and clean. I can’t believe I waited this long to try this, might be a new regular for me. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2006 12oz bottle poured a clear pale gold color with a tiny white head. The aroma is light citrus hops and some small amounts of caramel. The taste is nice and smooth not leaning too much to the hops with a nice balance. A good pale that is clean, but it might benefit to add more hops. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2006 Bottle. Decently hoppy, but not overly. This shows less aromatic hop notes than most APA’s. This isn’t necesarily a bad thing, as it quite drinkable. Some light toffee sweetness, leading to the lightly flowery, lightly earthy hop characters, its drinkable, if not overly exciting. cbkschubert (2027), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
