Commercial Description:
Firestone Pale Ale offers a rich, crisply hopped character with a medium malt profile. Nuances of toffee and vanilla unfold across a bright, clean texture. Dry hopping establishes an assertive American hop aroma and flavor.

This aroma offers the nose a smell of hops, peaches, grapefruit, and molasses. It is a golden solution with very little head offered. This thin bitter sour beer produces a taste of hops and grapefruit that fades leaving a mild hint of molasses lingering on the tongue.

From a 12 oz. brown bottle Made a decent appearance, poured a clear golden hued copper with a foamy white head that reduced to a thin lacing. Had a grassy/herbal hop and bready malt aroma with a musty yeastiness and a little roasted barley. Moderate carbonation and a slick, coarse medium bodied mouth feel, moderate drinkability. Had a crackerish malty and herbal hop taste, a little buttery, traces of a salty yeastiness and a dry, coarse, bitter hop finish.

Pours a rich golden color with a ncie fluffy head. Fresh citrus aroma with some orange marmalade. Assertive hop flavor is characterized bystrong lemon/lime flavor but balanced by a sweet malt component. Finish dry and crisp. Not bad.

The beer is a gold color and only has a wispy, pale draught head. This beer has an incredible, fresh, hop aroma. I get notes of apricots, some peach, and of course some of the typical citrus notes. The aroma is just quite striking, and I really like the mix of fruit character that the hops evoke here. The taste is pretty light and refreshing and has a light sweetness to it that really helps to accentuate the fruity flavors from the hops. The hop character is definitely dominated by a fresh fruity character that is most evocative of peaches and apricots. This is really quite nice.

The beer pours out a clear, dark gold color with a low foaming cream-colored head. Wisps of it stayed around until I was at the bottom of the glass. The aroma is noticeable almost immediately upon opening the bottle, with scents of citrus and floral. The taste was really goodwith citrus-like bitterness from the presence of hops, but at the same time wasn’t so citrusy that the line between beer and fruit juice was blurred. Although the citrus-like flavor of grapefruit or lemons is what dominates at first, on the second or third taste I noticed more balance with the malts, bringing in an almost under-taste of sweet grains. The finish is dry and sweet at the same time, with little kick as the carbonation level is medium to low.

Citrus and a bit of pine to this one, but very easy drinking, nice, easy drinking, I’ll drink it if offered anytime, quite smooth.
