Sweet hoppy aroma with elderflower and caramal. The palate is a bit soapy, the malt is caramal flavoured with some citrus from the hops. The finish has some moderate bitterness, but also a touch tangy. While at first I thought it was just "nice", it really grew on me. beerledgend (919), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2009 On tap at Papago. Pours a golden with an off-white head. Smells mildly of citrus and hops. Tastes just as mild with added notes of caramel and cream. Fair, at best. mrhoppy (211), Santa Clara, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Very good. Comparable to Sierra Nevada in quality but lighter and sweeter. Creamy and good all around. Grassy finish. I don’t think that I would crave this beer later on. Grovlam (3809), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 12, 2009 Draught @ Pismo Beach. Average light beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Amber color. Aroma of grapefruit, pine like, citrus, fruit, mild caramel and light toasted malty notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with light sweetness. Lingering bitter dry finish. zizzybalubba (372), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 12, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Yellowish-orange in color with a creamy white head. Clean hop aroma of grass, grapefruit, and citrus. Clean, satisfying hop flavor. Nothing surprising given the aroma. It’s a pale ale so there’s nothing to get too excited about here, but at 4.8%, and for what it is you really can’t go wrong. One of the best pale ales around in my opinion. trevor211 (504), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2009 Pours a hazy light amber with a decent head. Citrus hops, honey, and cereal grains in the aroma - nice and mild, but intriguing. Malts are more prevalent in the flavor, with a nice, refreshing hop backbone. Nothing too fantastic, but it’s a nice, entirely satisfying pale. scrizzz (1279), kirkland, Washington, USA
