Aroma is light, lemony, and orangey citrus with hops. A little floral, too with some light biscuits. Transparent dark golden body with a pretty frothy off-white head that leaves some good lacing. Starts with a fairly aggressive hoppy flavor that is more herbal than anything else. There are some tannins present in the middle. More malty, biscuit flavors also present in the middle before there is a long grapefruit hop bitterness to finish. Pretty good stuff.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Bottled. Golden with fine thick off-white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, lemon and orange, and lighter syrupy sweeter caramel hint. Flavor is similar plus some general unidentified funk. Palate is nice and sticky like some of other higher abv pale ale brews. Great feel and a great session I had. curly (742), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Pours murky pale yellow/orange. Aroma- honey, pine, orange, other sweet fruit. Same taste, slightly skunked and a sticky body. Maybe this bottle is old. after4ever (2825), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 21, 2009 22. Pours a crystal clear bright orange with a loose tan head that falls quickly away. Butterscotchy, piney nose. Would be pleasant but for that butterscotch. Creamy medium body, decent carbonation. Caramel, pine, and butterscotch mid-palate. Mild piney finish. Curious to see what this would taste like clean--it’s a fairly down-the-line APA, which is a little surprising for Fire Walk, but it’s more surprising to see the butter. corby112 (773), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a clear dark golden yellowish orange color with golden yellow hues when held to a light source. Frothy 2 finger white head with decent retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring that leaves spots of soapy lacing behind.
Sweet citrusy hop aroma with nice butterscotch malty presence and earthy grassy notes. Interesting combination of sweet lemon peel/grapefruit citrus along with butterscotch like biscuity malt and earthy grassy straw notes.
Pretty hop forward for a pale ale with a prominent dry earthy pine presence that’s complimented by a sweet citrus lemongrass/grapefruit character. The malt backbone is a lot stronger than I expected in a west coast beer but provides excellent balance. Hints of caramel, butterscotch and biscuit. More dry bitter earthy hops and citrus sweetness in the dry finish. Oscbert (550), Sacramento, California, USA

~Light clear copper color with persistant creamy white head, lacing.
~Citrus flavor very well balanced with bready malts

~Excellent Pale ale. The hops are showcased and delicious. Well done. Berley31 (198), New Brunswick, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 14, 2009 A: Poured very nice with a large, white head that diminished to around 1/2-finger size. Nice sticky lacing left behind on the sides of the glass. Body is a dark orange color, and clear.
S: Nice aroma of average-to-heavy hops, heavy on the pine, with some citrus present as well.
T: Mild hoppy flavor, with some citrus and pine present too. A little watery with a short duration for an IPA, but understandable at an ABV of 4.8%. Still quite enjoyable.
M: Medium-bodied with a creamy texture, and lively carbonation.
D: Very easy to drink with quite a good flavor and excellent appearance... the perfect session IPA. chokmah33 (118), San Luis Obispo, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Bready malt aroma, nuts. Slight piney hops aroma.
Restrained hopping, good sweet fruit malt characters, and some mild spice(mint?) charactetize the flavor.
Vibrant well carbed palate is a little over board for me, but there is a pleasant buttery mouth on this beer. Miksu (2234), Jyväskylä, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Copper color. Delicate hop aroma with mango, apricot and orange. Tropical fruity hop flavor with medium bitterness and biscuity maltiness in the background. Dryish and light bodied. Clean, smooth and easygoing pale ale, could have more bitterness for my taste.
