| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 13, 2008 On tap. Poured a thick, deep brown color with a moderate, deep tan head. Aroma of chocolate, light coffee, vanilla, caramel, and bourbon. Flavor consisted of chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, vanilla, and a light spicy bourbon with a hint of alcohol on the finish, but I never would have guess 14%. Full and smooth on the palate. Definitely one of the highlights of the day. ratman197 (3256), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Especially given the Firestone beers I have enjoyed. This one was a bit off-tasting, like old coffee and rather shallow. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
