Draft at DLD. This had a ton of body and girth. Huge bourbon character. Deep colored head. Nice and sweet with a dessert feel. Not hot at all, really. Very tasty.

Draught at the 6th Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours opaque with an average, frothy, dark brown head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, coffee), average hops (perfume), average yeast (leather) with notes of heavy alcohol and prunes. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

On tap. Poured a thick, deep brown color with a moderate, deep tan head. Aroma of chocolate, light coffee, vanilla, caramel, and bourbon. Flavor consisted of chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, vanilla, and a light spicy bourbon with a hint of alcohol on the finish, but I never would have guess 14%. Full and smooth on the palate. Definitely one of the highlights of the day.

On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest poured a clear dark brown nearly black with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, chocolate, roastiness and light vanilla. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of bourbon, oak, vanilla, chocolate and light roastiness with a smooth lingering lightly sweet finish.
A truly great and drinkable Imperial Stout!

On tap at Toronado. This black ale poured with a decent tan head. There is a huge chocolate malt flavor wth a nice warm alcohol finish.

I would have it again... but the first go was not impressive. Especially given the Firestone beers I have enjoyed. This one was a bit off-tasting, like old coffee and rather shallow.

Nose of boubon filled dark chocolate truffles with some mild chipotle pepper and vanilla. Full and rich with a very clean yet complex mouthfeel, notes oc cocoa laden dark fruit with some mild tobacco notes. Rich and full finish with no astringency.
