Soft bourbon and ripe fruit nose with some mild pancake syrup notes. Good mouthfeel with great conditioning. Soft and rich with nice spiced fruitcake notes. Clean finish.

2006 handbottle from Logan. Tasted at Logan’s house with Logan and deftim13. A hint of oxidation, but it’s really subtle. Quickly fading head. Very mellow flavor. Mixed bubble head. Some caramel in the aroma. Leans sweet, but finishes dry. Mellowed hops. Light amber color.

idk if this is what i drank but what the hell: says firestone-walker english style barley wine, aged 9 mos, from a bourbon nitro tap: wine, alcohol, rum, coconut flavors with a syrupy feel.

GABF 2006: CLear dark brown-amber color with a medium beige head. Big fresh piney hop aroma with sweet fruity malt underneath. Piney hop flavor entwined with sweet dark fruity malt. The hops were big but everything was well balanced, even the alcohol.
