Tasted at Logan’s house with Logan and deftim13. A hint of oxidation, but it’s really subtle. Quickly fading head. Very mellow flavor. Mixed bubble head. Some caramel in the aroma. Leans sweet, but finishes dry. Mellowed hops. Big fresh piney hop aroma with sweet fruity malt underneath. Piney hop flavor entwined with sweet dark fruity malt. Smoth and malty with a rich fruity body that includes apple, grapefruit, and mild citrus with a malty and caramel base. It coates the mouth. HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Jul 27, 2006 Tap at Toronado. Pours with a dark copper color and a nice head withy excellent lacing. Aromas of caramel, malts and berries. Flavors predominantly malty, caramel, sweet and a hoppiness to balance. The alcohol is noticeable but unobtrusive. Finishes off with a pleasant sweetness without being cloying. Very nice.
