Thanks to Tom for sharing. Hazy amber with decent off white head and good carbonation. Strong northwest hop aroma (centennial and columbus?). Good malt base with some crystal malt too. The bitterness is perfectly balanced (for a west coast IPA). The malt, hop flavor and bitterness all are in harmony. Everything is in its right place. Very tasty and i am surprised it is not rated as high as many of the others.

22 oz bottle purchased from liquidsolutions. Pours a golden amber, decent offwhite bubbly head, decent haze, not as pretty as anticipated, doesn’t lace as good as expected. Aromas are caramel malts put on thick, with grapefruit and floral hops preaching a touch of piney resin. A touch sweet overall. Initial is reaffirming, showing good florals and pine with grapefruit flavors coming around. The sweetness is hidden a bit by the strong hops, and bitterness sticks to the palate, medium body, sweetness lingers on the backend, toffee and caramel sweetness. A bit soapy and floral, piney. This IPA throws good bitterness but flavors are a bit undeveloped, lack complexity (or at last diversity for an IPA). Still, this is a lower end of the top tier IPA. Nothing to scoff and and something to take whenever possible. Cheers.

Thanks to Odeed! Pours clear gold with a good white head. Aroma is pine and citrus hops with a faint hint of sweet malt. Flavor is bitter and very nice with a tad of huskiness near the end. Medium body, smooth. Finishes pretty clean.

Oregon Brew Fest: hazy brown white head, aroma filled with hops, flavor both very hoppy and malty, just an overall great IPA.

A golden-orange beer with a small head. Aroma was sweet, pine & fruit. Taste was very piney, grapefruit, bitterness, & sweet. Had a slightly creamy mouthfeel & was a good IPA.

Clean amber pour with smallish white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, grass and some herbal notes. Flavor is very well balanced: some herbal lemony notes and toasty malts. Sweet malts complement the bittering hops, but never overpowering. Palate is smooth and full for the style. An excellent example of the style.

On tap. pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head. Very fresh - almost perfumy - peachy and piney hop accents. Medium body with sweet malts and fruit, and again a solid aroma hoppiness that leaves a great and balancing bitterness. A perfect IPA. 070709

Tap at Brouwers.

Deep golden pour, juicy hop aroma. Grassy (euro) flavors, very hoppy but not resinous -- is the Tomahawk doing the work here? Slightly grainy, slightly sweet, bitter grainy pith on the long end. After hearing this one talked up so much, it was good not but quite all I’d hoped for.
