| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Pours a deep brown, actually quite black, with a creamy tan head. Purdy. Aroma is faintly of milk chocolate. Flavors are subtle, restrained, and refined. Chocolate, a hint of coffee, and just a hint of woodsiness on the finish, barely perceptible until it warmed considerably. Smooth on the palate. Not big, but elegant. Quite lovely. argo0 (6985), Washington DC, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Not quite what I’d expected to be honest. I hadn’t really paid attention to what I was pouring and only afterwards did I find out it was a porter. Well, this was not like most porters out there which is a good thing. Aroma is lightly roasted malt, some smoke, and caramel. Appearance was coke-like, dark brown/black with light brown highlights and a one-finger sized off-white head. Flavors were really light IMO for a porter. Coffee, roasted malts, caramel and light chocolate. Everything with this beer seemed light and that’s okay. I like a little switch from the heavy handed porters/stouts that flood the market. While this beer could have carried a little more flavor for me, it’s almost a sessionable porter. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Beer pours dark brown with a nice, thick totally retained cream colored head. Aroma is rich chocolate malt. The flavor is malty, mainly chocolate with just a hint of roasted nuts and a sip of coffee. The mouthfeel is enjoyable too. Not too thin like so many porters. Very nice. It has no bitter aftertaste, with a perfect hops blend .It ’s not too harsh just right on the taste buds.This is the best porter on the market at this price.This is the best product by Firestone,whose brews have greatly improved.I highly recommend this porter.It is one of my favorite brews.Superb!. This dude poured a nice thick dark brown color that forms into a dark thick foam. The taste and smell of this Porter are great. It took me 5 different stops to finally find it but it was worth it. A very drinkable solid beer. Zoob (84), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Aroma = roasted notes and slight oakiness
Appearance = Dark brown to black
Flavor = Really great, Oakiness is subtle and smooth and well with in balance, roasted and low toastiness with some dark carmel
Palate = medium Full
Overall = Super beer! I really like the light balance of oak and smooth not acidic roastiness. For a bigger beer you can drink continuously. Great job
