Nov 4, 2002 Gold color, small head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet smelling. A medium bodied lager, Lots of flavor for a lager. Maybe a touch sweet. Mild malts, slightly nutty flavor, balanced by slightly spicy hops. Mouthfeel is full. Aftertaste is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. No doubt about it, A lager is a lager.

Sep 26, 2003 A pretty good lager? but it tasted more like a nut brown ale. Nice head, decent coloring. My only complaint was that there was some stuff settled on the bottom that I didn't expect.

Nov 3, 2002 A decent enough lager, I would probably like it better if it wasn’t 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside. If you want an unassuming lager that will work well with food, then this will do just fine.

Feb 25, 2003 Call me crazy, but aside from the fact that this and the Green Flash Pale Ale have a lot in common, i actually like this malty lager. The aroma is all sweet maltiness...pure malt at its finest...nothing else..pure nose candy. It pours a light golden color with no head and a low carbonation level..very unimpressive. The taste is once again totally lopsided to the sweet malty side with something fruity sweet coming through, and a nice subtle, and i do mean subtle hop ending..slightly bitter, but very yummy. Not so complex mouthfeel...very straight-forward..little carbs, nice sweetness, good bittering coutnerpart in the end...nothing spectacular, but a wonderful session beer.

Jan 2, 2003 Clean golden amber, with a patchy crust of a white head. Smells very malty, with a slight nuttiness. Very smooth mouthfeel, with light carbonation. Initial taste is very rich and malty, with traces of hazelnut, cashew and caramel. The malts continue, but hops and a bit of yeastiness continue into the finish. Dry at the end, with a lingering maltiness. Somewhat like Wurzburger for octoberfest. Not a bad beer! Tastes good with my fat cat.

Nov 5, 2002 The head quickly disappates. A yellowish-golden color. Didn’t really find much in this lager. A fairly typical lager.

Nov 13, 2002 A somewhat hazy golden color, the head passive and white, the lace slim. Nose is malt, fresh, clean, and hints of citrus. Start is malt, lightly sweet, top is middling, the finish is potently acidic, sparsely hopped, bone dry aftertase. Drinkable beer, but not something that excites me or my taste buds. Ranks #971 on my current 1000 beer master list.

May 10, 2003 Cloudy golden color with a large head. Malty. Ok hopping. Dry finish. Unremarkable but well done.
