beer_ledgend (807), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Sep 18, 2008 Bright orange in clour with small white head. Mild grassy hop aroma. Hint of citrus. Well balanced hop flavours. Clean dry finish. Muggus69 (257), Sydney, Australia May 28, 2008 330ml bottle, served chilled. Clean copper body with fluffy white head. Metallic nose, some sweet toffee maltiness, a hint of hops with a sutble spicy fruitiness in there. Lean bodied, carbonation seems off, no real malt backbone. A toffee sweetness upfront, converging into a breadiness with metallic bitterness and hint of citrusy hops. Seems to be over before it started, needs more of everything...malt and hops more specifically. strings (327), Sydney, Australia Feb 18, 2008 Bottle in Melbourne. Not too bad. Flavours seemed very Australian, and looking at the commercial description, perhaps it was the passionfruit i was finding most prominent. Whatever it was, worked well in an amber ale MBison (403), Southern Highlands, Australia Jan 26, 2008 On tap at the Grand hotel in Bowral. A few kegs of the stuff where ordered in by mistake instead of the leather jacket larger, and this is a bad thing why?. Arrived an amber colour with a dense frothy head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was along the lines of a typical APA; passion fruit, some grassy hops and light notes of grapefruit. Taste was fruity, with more passion fruit, grapefruit (again mild), hints of orange citrus and a light resin like finish. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation, dry mouthfeel and a decent finish. gam (580), brisbane, Australia Jan 12, 2008 Good head, carb is good colour nice amber.Aroma very hoppy, passionfruit, very noticeable, flavour lovely tangy hoppy(amarillo hops)passionfruit a good bitter from these flavours.Good body in this ale.Finish tangy passionfruit dry, nice tasting beer.
