12-oz. Just an enormous bastich of a beer, as you might well expect. Pours a gorgeous ruby-tinged amber with a humongous moussy tan head that settles to a delicious-looking layer of gloop. Gargantuan caramel nose with toffee, nuts, port, and raisins. All of these things commingle with very pronounced hops to form the palate. The body’s thick and creamy with enough carb to feel almost quenching (in sharp contrast to the drenching flavors). Lingering bitter finish, but the hops are amusingly subtle rather than toweringly resinous or piney or any other single hop note. This is a big, thick, churning maelstrom of a beer.

Copper, amber color with particals floating around. Smell of hops, citrus and other friut. As it warms can also smell some wood/oak. Taste of malt and hops. Citrus comes in and out with this one. Pine and caramel finish in the background with a stong alcohol bitterness. Nice beer!

Pours a clear deep reddish amber with a lasting yet frothy head. Aroma is subtle and balanced. Malt and alcohol interplay with eachother. The hops have been reduced to mere notes. Their is a floral quality. Really now wood to speak of. The body is med-thin. Maybe too much sugar? The flavors are somewhat flat. A slight sourness from the age and the barrels, a light bready malt note, but rather thin. The finish is very dry but lacking in the sharp bitterness that it might once have had.

"Poured a clody brown color with almost no head. Lacing wasn’t great either. Aroma was of hops citrus mostly, some pine in there as well. Flave was the same full of hops and some nice malts in there as well, some woodyness. Mouthfeel was a little syrup. "

12oz bottle dark reddish brown in color with a thick white head and aromas of tobacco, charred malts, burnt fruit, and cherries. The flavors come through as carmel raspberries, dark fruits, tobacco, lots of oak that seems almost leathery with dried fruits. The hops are mostly faded but a drying bitterness lingers from the alcohol. The sweetness and alcohol are balanced out well. I’m going to have to pick up more of these next time I see them.

Thanks to the random person who sent this to me as a make up for a botched shipment of mine. A very nice and mahogony body with a creamy ivory head. Aroma is a nice sweet maltiness along with a good hop profile. Body is nicely oaked, good maltiness along with some hidden hops. Ending is nice and spicey.

Very hazy dark amber body with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel and floral hops aroma. Sweet caramel flavor, lots of floral hops with some light hints of citrus hops.

Via trade with cbkschubert. Very nice aroma, strong alcohol presence. Very dark amber/gold color with thin head. Flavor is strong with a slight cherry cough syrup taste. Very hoppy. Reminds me of Burton Baton if mixed with Arrogant Bastard. Great palate. Good ale. Thanks Craig.
