2009 Bottle - Pours a beautiful copper wth a quicky dissipating off-white head...aroma is sweet fruit, caramel malt, massive citrus resin...flavous is similarly huge, bitter as shit, but well balanced with a sweet malt that avoids being syrupy or cloying...slight alcoholic bite that I’m sure mellows over time...quite enjoyable!...

Courtesy of DuffMan. Bottled 355ml. Appearance: It pours a hazy nut brown beer with a small heterogenous head. Not much lacework. Aroma: Quite a lot of caramel, mint toffee and licorice characteristics. Sweet and rather strong with a lot of resiny hops, oak, alcohol, apricots, apples, plums and vanilla. Flavor and palate: Syrupy. Full bodied. The alcohol is quite prominent. Strong notes of oak. Very high bitterness. Caramel, licorice, apricots and plums showing up. Pepper appearing with the swallow. Strong warming bitter finish reminiscent of licorice and hops. Overall impression: I don’t like the oak characteristics much. The alcohol is too prominent. A bit out of balance. Thanks a lot DuffMan!

22oz bottle; 2006. Pours clear amber, capped with a modest tan head. Well balanced aroma, with caramel, tropical fruit, hops, and wood. Flavor exhibits nice interplay between piney hops and caramel malt. Medium bodied, and very drinkable. this was staring at me from the beer fridge for a while, I’m glad I finally cracked it open.

Tap. Amber color with thin head that didn’t last long. Pretty big piney nose. Thin in the mouth with a steady but refreshing bitterness that lingers. A very good beer -- especially if you like hops.

Bottle shared by alexsadad06. Poured yellow orange in color with an average white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy malty hoppy aroma. Moderate to heavy smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy biiter sweet flavor to medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with a complex beer.

Bottle shared by Ross. Pours a deep copper amber with an tan head. Aroma of caramel, fruity esters, alcohol, and sugar malts- almost like a barleywine. Medium bodied with a slightly rich texture. Flavor of dark caramel, yeast, and faded hops. Moderate attenuation. Finishes somewhat dusty and yeasty (probably due to the yeast from the bottle of the bottle). Simple, but this has held up well, but Ross stored this in the fridge.

Subtle notes of pine. Pours med/dark brown. Sweet taste to it not alot of hop presence to it, lots of malt. Very good

Pours with an amber body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s swet and malty with strong hop notes full of grapefruit and pine as well as fruity alcohol esters. Full bodied and hot.
