Almost non-existent aroma; a little malt sweetness. Taste is smooth with some ester sweetness. Slow, lightly bitter finish. Not a big fan. But, at 4% this packs in at least a little taste. 4%? My god. Now that’s a light beer. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a golden / copper body with a fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor shocked me with a great surprise! What I found was a rather luscious caramely and toffee suggestion. There was a wonderful toasty tobacco smoky spiciness to the beer that takes this Golden Ale into a entirely new world. I really loved the uniqueness of the smoky malts and the spicy woodsy hops. What a pleasant shock! - I find this to be a wonderful session beer!

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Dark blonde in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas of pale malt and citrus peel. Surprisingly full mouthfeel (it’s the rye). Flavors of rye bread, spicy hops, and some very mild citrus. Uncomplicated, but as far as a basic summer drinker goes, you could do much worse. Solid. Thanks to Presario for the extra. ditmier (1110), Boise, Idaho, USA
