The taste is pretty light with a little bit of a spice, perhaps the rye malt? The aftertaste is pretty sweet and buttery. Thanks Indiana_Red for sharing. Muted grain notes with some caramel in the aroma. Caramel malt flavors under a pantina of herbal hop spiciness. A phenolic twang developes, especially noticable in the finish. Mouthfeel is light and nondescript. TipsyMcStager (928), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2009 Amber, going orange - lots of tiny suspended micro-particles. Very clear with some head which sticks quite well. Aroma? Lots! But it’s all quite mild but very fresh and good. Sweet fruity malts, overripe peaches, floral hops and a hint of yeast. Once it warms up, a bit of fake grapefruit shows up along side a dusty scent. The mild flavour of honey, malts and an undescribable spice increases and becomes much more obvoius when warmer. There’s also an almost sour bitterness as well. Yum yum. Medium bodied and a soft creaminess contrasts the tangy bitter aftertaste. I’d advise not rushing into this beer. Open it and let it sit for 10 minuits first to really see what this beer is all about. I’ve had it fresh out of the bottle and it’s way better after a bit. Left a tiny pile of sediment in the middle of the bottom of the glass. Very drinkable. Another excellent Fish Tale brew. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA

Malt character is somewhat sweet, fruity, bread; a tinge of hops for the finish. Drinkable and somewhat refreshing, not bad for the style; a good ’tranistion’ beer. At first I thought it was just the initial taste was sour, but it lingers something fierce. Not even sure if I can finish the bottle. Did I mention this beer is sour?! Don’t know why, but was far more partial to this than the other reviewers. Light aroma, sweet malt forward, with slight hop bittering notes. Excellent appearance for style, clear gold. Flavor was again sweet malt forward; some banana notes, low on the bittering side with a clean, creamy texture. Thought it was very easy drinking, could just do to be a bit more complex.
