Wild or even buckwheat honey aromas mix with some dry wood and caramel scents. Light and quite airy, somewhat expected after seeing the pour. Honey and rye, with some mild smoke seems to seep in. An interesting brew, that I enjoy from a aspect that I am not sure that are intended, but I’ll take them. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

Flavors are lots of grains with some woody components. some light oxidization but nothing overbearing. some nice earthy hops on the finish with some light citrus fruits. not bad for a blonde and would love to try on tap. Nice enough aroma, mainlly doughy maltiness, some hops but very faint.
Semi-sweet taste, not cloying, mainlly malty, with a lemon after taste, ho hops detected,
Ok on the palate, actually quite " substantial for the style.
Overall a nice enjoyable ale, nothing spectacular but OK. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2006 The aroma has salt, peat, butterscotch, apricots, oak, and syrup. The appearance is amber gold with a big head. The flavor is not as complex as the aroma but most of the elements are present, especially the peat. The palate is average but nice. Overall I like it but it’s not like any golden ale I have had but maybe thats a good thing. Brigadier (1246), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

Earthy smell with a hint of bananas and other fruits. The taste was a mixture of malt, bananas, hay and mild carbonation. Finished light and dry. Very easy to drink. riversideAK (2779), Shoreline, Washington, USA

My 58th Golden/Blonde Ale Rate! Light aroma with hints of sweetness, bread, and biscuits. Some earthy hops as well. Pours golden with a nice fluffy head and some chill haze. Pleasantly sweet light malty notes, bread, biscuits, and a crisp earthy hop finish. It’s a blonde ale, it tastes earthy like many organics do, but it is more pleasant than many. workerbee (5), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Smells of cornbread, kind of "yeasty" and slight apple sauce arouma. A beautiful tangerine colour with a slight head and slightly hazy. You can see through it, but not right through to its soul. Moderately sweet taste with an ever-so-slight bitter aftertaste. At first, I didn’t really like it, but the more I taste it, the more I want to drink it. A light body with slight carbonation makes this beer delicious. It is a good summer beer for lake time sippin’. Overall, I would say this beer is good. marctacoma (34), Fircrest, Washington, USA

Light, crisp blonde with a nice, subtle hop finish. I’d be the first to admit it’s not got a ton going on, but I really enjoy this beer. Refreshing, and clearly more interesting than lagers. Well done for the style.
