Commercial Description:
The light bodied, golden hued beer has a creamy head that lingers on the glass. Blonde Ale is brewed with a touch of rye malt for a delicate spicy flavor which matches perfectly to the honey sweetness of the pale malt. The delicious malt character is balanced with Tettnanger hops for a gentle bitterness and aromatic finish.

Ah, for a blonde it had flavor, but it wasn’t all that great of a flavor. The pour was golden with slight orange hues. Nice initial head, quickly fades, but the lacingg was ok. The aroma was fruity with some wheat notes. The flavor was grainy, fruity, and wheaty, somewhat vegetal, herbal, musty underneath it all, leaving a less than optimal experience, but not a terrible one. Mouthfeel was moderate to heavy for the style but overall light medium. Not bad. Not great.

Seventh stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 in Olympia, Washington. Final brew sampled on tap at the Fish Tale brewpub. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a decent light white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film. Aroma of light biscuity malt, a touch of citrus hops and some earthy herbs. Taste is a fruity malt, light body and low carbonated with a multi-grain biscuity flavor. Finish is clean, crispt and no bitter aftertaste. Very refreshing.

Wow ok. For a summer beer it really did impress me. Much more colourful than I had expected. While at such a low alc% it definitely packs a bunch of flavor. Some may think that it would be a watered down beer at 4% but no.

Tap @ EcoBrew Fest - Pours thin and light tan with a medium white head...aroma is floral hops, some grass...flavour is similar and pretty straight forward, slight grain, light bitterness, bit of fruity malt...sweet lingering finish...

Bottle. (Remembered from past tastings) A friend of mine brought this to me from the brewery originally started by his brother. Yes I am biased here. I don’t remember much other than both my friend and his brother were first rate home brewers and I liked everything they brewed so gotta score this respectfully. I’m happy to see that so many years later this brewery lives on.

Bottle from John’s Market in Portland, OR. Dark gold color with a light white head. Aromas of pale malt and fruit hop. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavors of fruit, citrus and bread. More malty than not, and the hop is present, but overall it finishes more like bread.

Very large off-white head of dense bubbles. Great carbonation. Crisp, citrusy aroma with lemon, dry grass, hops and a bit of dustyness. Color is a medium golden orange. Light dry flavor with a very large helping of charcoal. Very strange. Dry smokey ash. Chalky. Some hops and a little more citrus but really overwealmed by the charcoal. Finish is dry and puckering with some sourness and bitterness. A very strange brew and not one that appeals to me very greatly.
