Apr 6, 2008 The Fonefan/Brugmansia Cnudde tasting. Courtesy of Papsoe. Red mahogany with a creamy head. The aroma has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel and raisin. The flavour is sweet, but not cloying, and it has notes of roasted malt, caramel, raisin, nuts and a grapefruit, that makes it somewhat dry. It hides the alcohol nicely in both aroma and flavour. It’s nice!

Mar 14, 2008 Clear very dark black body with ruby highlights and a large creamy dark tan head. Sweet caramel, molassas and light roast aroma. Rich toasty caramel and bready flavor with some light molassas and chocolate. Full mouthfeel with a smooth creamy finish and moderately low carbonation.

Mar 14, 2008 Thanks to Old Mr. Crow for this one. Pours burnt umber with 1-finger khaki head. Aroma is roasty malt, figgy fruit, prunes, some blackberry. Tastes roasty malty, with pruny notes, slight rauchy notes, some nuts, dark chocolate, and some merloty blackberry, plum, and red grapey flavors. The palate is rich, complex, and full of flavor. This is an oiutstanding doppelbock.
