Sep 10, 2006 A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of both caramel and the alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and towards the end notes of wood grows on You, making the end dry. The alcohol also makes its presence know towards the end.

Aug 17, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Very full-bodied with rich, fat flavours of caramel. Some hops in the finish but not really enough to balance the sweetness. 160806

Jul 16, 2008 Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. (2004 vintage, batch 5) Clear pale brownish amber, small creamy head. Sugary caramel aroma. Sweet with medium-full body. Lots of toffee, some wood. Restrained citric hoppiness .some green apples. Perhaps the aging has diminished the hop levels a bit much, now it is more reminiscent of an English style barley wine, but without the malt depth. Finishes with lots of spun suga rand toffee. Soft and edgeless, but with no "wow!"

Jul 15, 2008 Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some alcohol and fruits. Also quite strong wooden and licoriceish notes. Flavour is sweet malts, plum and raisins. Mild notes of vanilla and wood too. Wellbalanced.
