Bottled: Poured a hazy coppery hue with lots of floaties, small head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of candi sugar, vanilla wafers, grassy and spicy hops, apricot and orange zest, and some strange yeast ester. The taste starts sweet and malty. A subdued fleshy fruit background accents the flavors which then leads to a mildly spicy and earthy finish. The feel is a bit lush and sticky but could use a bit more carbonation. Moderate alcohol warming upon finishing most of the 12 ounce bottle. I liked this bit better than the barrel aged version (which is not the case with Leviathan or Poseidons) but still not up to par with the best tripels out there.

Nour is semi-sour with notes of robust oranges, peaches, tobacoo, wood, and nuts. Very nice subtle belgian qualities in the aroma. Flavor is a little harsh - full bodied and thick, tart with some good scratchy, grassy hops and an overall grassy sweet malt flavor, similar to other tripels, but thicker and more nutty or coarse, as best as I can describe it. Very good stuff.
