Bottle thanks to Larry Pitonka. Nice orange color with a thin head and a particle clowded body. Aroma is heavy on many things, candy sugar, fruit and spice come to mind. Flavor is as good as with the other fist tale beers I’ve had. This one seems a bit rough around the edges. The palate is too sharp and doesnt smooth out as much as it just stops being there.

This beer may have gotten a higher grade for appearance if it wasn?t half sediment. Taste great. peach flavor. Bit of a bitter aftertaste. beer makes me happy.

From a 12 oz. bottle purchased in Madison, WI. Poured this into a Bornem chalice. The body is a dark gold color. The head was huge at first, but faded quickly. The aroma is sweet peaches and honey. There is also a little hint of caramel and cinnamon. The taste is slightly spicy cinnamon with some bananas and clove. There is also a little bit of bread. The body is a little thin for a tripel. I like this one as I prefer my tripels to be a little more sweet.

bottle. Pours orange/amber with extremely heavy sediment. Notes of yeast and caramel are strongest. Flavor is unlike any other triple sampled. Alcohol is forward, followed by some sugar elements. Finish is sour, off and generally bad.

2004 bottle. Aroma had hay, toasted malts, perfume, lime, a light cheese, and honey. Appearance was a creamy off-white head with good lacing that was mostly lasting. The body was flat and murky with large particles and an average density. It was copper in color. The initial flavor was moderate sweetness and a slight acedicness to it. Very similar to aroma, but mostly toasted and perfumey with honey. The finish was acetic and sour. It was short in duration. The palate was light to medium with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation with a slightly astringent feel.

Orange and rather still looking with Distinct aroma of carmelized sugar with some alcohol and spiciness. Strong alcohol flavor with an unpleasant flat vegetable finish. Unfortunately this puppy gets the fast route to the sewer.

750 ml bottle. Tasty orange and tangerine flavor with a smooth yeasty taste. Aging did this baby well.

This one seems too sweet and one-dimensional to be a tripel. Interesting aromas of a whiskey liqueur (like Drambuie), entry is sweet and syrupy. I got a touch of the citrus flavors, also some herbal notes in the back before the alcohol fire kicked in at the finish. Disappointing, sure, but not enough to dump it.
