Nov 27, 2009 750 ml bottle - 2001 vintage; thanks after4ever; dark gold, clear and plenty of carbonation; musky, oaky aromas with lemons, vanialla, caramel and toffee; syrupy sweet and almost sticky in texture; slightly oxidized, but I think this was my fav of the 3 Fish BA beers w/ lots of age on them; now a mix of triple and barleywine maybe and quite delightful to drink; lots of sticky fruit and oaky sweetness; yum!!

Oct 30, 2009 This 2003 vintage is courtesy of a one particular amazing ratebeer-anista, matta. Pours murky deep copper with gold edges and micro thin white head. The aroma has rich sweet fruit notes like plums, dates and some raisins to go along with earthiness and wood. The taste is similar with rich deep smooth dark fruitiness then moving into soft earthy and silky smooth slivers of barrel. Wow, smooth and delicious.

Jul 3, 2009 Bottle@TheWolf. Golden coloured with a small egg white head. Aromas of rosemary, caramel, spicy sherry notes and wood. Sweet and malty flavour with notes of matured beer, caramel and spices.

Jun 23, 2009 Bottle. Blindtasting @ Thewolf. Pours clear amber with a off white creamy head. Nose/taste is port, caramel, fruit, oak, vintage, vanilla. Full bodied. Slick, sticky and soft. Lovely.

Jun 23, 2009 Bottle. Los fluffy and quickly disappearing white head. Clear amber body. Strong malty and fruity aroam with a bit of alcohol. Powerful fruity caramel malt flavor with spicy notes. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste.

Jun 21, 2009 From bottle, blind #4, 2001 vintage, courtesy of thewolf. Pours dark orange with a small white head. Mild wooden, vanilla, and light bourbon like nose. Smooth wooden, bourbon and caramelish to biscuit malt flavoured. Smooth and nicely balanced. Light wooden lasting impression into the far finish.

Pours a tad hazy, deep orange. A small, creamy, white head on top. Aroma is really impressive. Lots of yeasty notes, apples, pineapple, oak, biscuity malts, cardemum. Medium carbonation, good creamy mouthfeel. Flavour maintains the notes of cardemum, adds some rosemary. Oak, yeast, viniousness, sweet maltiness. A touch of oaky tartness in the end, but overall, a very elegant tripel.
