| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2004 Vintage 2003. Hazy golden yellow, some floaties but that isn’t off-putting. Aromas are interesting, citrus, vanilla, wood, floral. There is a sour note in the flavor, with a late sweet arrival after the tannic notes that Lumpy talked about. Frothy, mild palate, smooth with some alcohol stinging at times. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2004 2003 Bottle: Reddish amber hue with fading white head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of orange and lemon zest, toasted malts, buttery bread, floral and lightly piney hops, peppery, barnyard yeast esters, and noticeable alcoholic phenols. The taste starts silky sweet with a spicy kick of clove and cardamom. Got some citric and ripen fruits in midsection tasing. The finish is biting with a moderate alcohol burn. Lingering spice and bitters. The feel is disappointing, just has no depth, dry and woody. Okay I guess, wanted more. Thanks to Kevin for the trade a few months ago.
