Fat aroma of wood, overripe fruit and sherry. Rather full and rich body - a bit low in carbonation - lots of fruity and woody accents, overripe fruit in particular. Actually extremely complex with oxidization, sherry and noble rot. Very subdued bitterness. Very interesting. 230807 yespr (12429), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Reddish brown - quite dark and cloudy. Rich malty aroma - toffee, alcohol, and a bit of dark fruit in there as well. Thin flavour, though - a quickly dissipating malt & wood thing, fruity notes, herbal hops...but believe me it’s not as complex as that might lead you to believe. It is rather one-dimensional really, in its unbalanced wood & malt thing. A true Old Ale, yes, but not a good one. argo0 (7031), Washington DC, USA
