Getting quite a bit of malt and caramel in the aroma. The flavor on this is relatively bland, almost like a mixture of an amber ale and a pale lager. I’m not too impressed with this.

From tap at Hop yard in Pleasanton. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight spiced. Light caramelish and fruity flavoured. Light bitterness and downplayed fruity note. Ends roasted malty and slight bitter.

2009 Bottle - Pours a ruddy amber with a nice medium off white head...aroma is wheaty and malty, with a some chocolate coming through as well...flavour is similar, doughy, grainy, malty and still has that sweet cocoa malt...nice stuff

Clear reddish amber, some floaties, and and ample beefy white creamy head. Creamy sugary malt aroma. Milk caramel smoothness. Very good amber.

On tap from Tap House Grill in Seattle, the excellent amber ale strikes the perfect balance between its floral cascade hops presence and its earthy german malts and it delivers. I recommend this highly

1/17/09 On draft at the brewpub, Olympia, Wa. Aroma is grainy sweet malt forward with a little bit of spice and faint alcohol with only faint flora. Appearance is clear copper with a moderate maintained cream colored head. Flavor is drier and a little metallic in its bittering with a watery sweet/sour finish. Mouthfeel is low bodied with a moderate carb texture and very clean finish. Overall, not really exciting, but quite sessionable and good with food.
