Rich aromas of pitted fruit with a beautiful copper color. It has a small off-white fizzy head with mildly sticky lacing. The taste is great showing flavors of rich malts and pitted fruit as well as wheat. Good balance with the hops as well. The feel is smashing - giving the consumer a creamy, smooth feel. It goes in easy and goes down easy. Delicious. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA

Malt character is smooth somewhat sweet roasty caramel, hops takes over for a decent but not stellar finish. Overall a very decent amber. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 6, 2005 Bright reddish amber hue, decent head formation. Caramel malt, earthy aroma. Caramel malts subdued by some earthy, soily dryness. Decent amber. bluesbaker (2), Portland, Oregon, USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Has a lovely, slightly smoky flavor, even though it is not labeled as smoked. Is that from the Santiam hops (a variety I was not familiar with)? Or does the organic process feature smoke? At any rate, it’s great. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Amber color, average overall appearance.
Light caramel malt aroma. Medium light body that delivers a well balanced flavor that is malty with a slight acid bite.
Not too bad. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 13, 2005 Updated: Jan 14, 2005(12 oz bottle: Bottleworks in Seattle, WA) The rather bready and aromatic nose is very promising, but after this introduction, the flavor is a bit shy and timid, and the palate is on the watery side. The flavor is a bit light in general, but the breadiness seems the strongest. Mild hops bitterness just doesn’t seem to have much impact on this beer, not even able to balance out the light breadiness until the finish, which is pretty uneventful as well. Bright amber in color and slightly hazy. Off-white head is small on the pour, and settles to a thin rim around the edge of the glass, but it leaves some modest patchy lacing. Overall, this beer has a pleasant flavor, but it’s just kind of boring.
