The flavor is a bit light in general, but the breadiness seems the strongest. Mild hops bitterness just doesn’t seem to have much impact on this beer, not even able to balance out the light breadiness until the finish, which is pretty uneventful as well. Bright amber in color and slightly hazy. Off-white head is small on the pour, and settles to a thin rim around the edge of the glass, but it leaves some modest patchy lacing. Overall, this beer has a pleasant flavor, but it’s just kind of boring. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Pours a red/amber with a medium off-white head. Really toasty malts in the aroma and taste, to the point of having a smokey quality to it. This brew finishes with a medium hop, lightly bittered end, smooth with a crisp finish. JPDIPSO (4944), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2004 Copper color with a small beige head. Reading the description, I really thought this sounded good... well its OK, I guess that’s why every ad must be taken with a a modicum of wisdom (an amber is still an amber). To me it smells like a fresh cut apple with a little caramel. Caramel flavors dominate the start with a drier middle with some wood and non-descript hops. Rather bitter finish. that sweets the malt away leaving me wanting something else. IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2004 Bottle Pours a nice deep copper with a medium pale off-white head that setles quickly. Blocky and uneven lacing. Aroma is sweet woody, dark malts. Flaors are same but more so. Dark malts and honey. Easy on the hops and a slight astringent taste. Feel is rich and carbonation is soft. No real bitter trailer, just a soft smooth woody taste.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Amber brown body, lacey whte head, aroma is a little weak, light in the mouth but without being watery, sweet caramel flavor, roasty and bordering on brown ale, I rarely find ambers that I’ll declare excellent, but this one is definatly under rated in my book. frylock (1029), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2004 Pretty deep amber color, medium white head. Perfumey hop aroma with some toasty and caramel malts present. Very light sweetness upfront, some light fruitiness as well. Finishes with a light but crisp hopiness. Not bad, but the flavor is pretty weak. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2004 Appearance: bright, beautiful garnet hue, with a nicely well-retained creamy head.
Aroma: empty, airy, earthy, yeasty, in that order. I feel this is perhaps an ale that needs at least a moment or two for it’s best features to unfold. Hints of fruit emerge, and are appreciated.
Taste is rich, full , wel-rounded, vibrant, delicious. Cherries ring in my mind, melons, nectarines...a bountiful cornucopia, full and forward, with a long, rich, resounding finish.
Much more flavorful than your ordinary Amber, and one of the first times that I felt that the "organic" tag actually transferred into the quality of the brew.

Nice looking amber, its a dark amber coloured ale..with a nice sized frothy white head..slightly hazy.
Aroam is mostly of that organic barley malt though the hops do show through.
Taste is sort of creamy malt, very slight hop undertones near end.
Mouthfeel is the beers strong point very smooth very easy over the tongue..creamy.
The nice mouthfeel makes this a very drinkable amber..nice I would buy this again.
