Novebmer 2003 Bottle drank in May 2004. Bottle conditioned hazy pour, dark red burgundy mixes with gold/straw and orange/amber. Big white head, lacing and a beautiful aroma. Plenty of fresh hops, light pale and crystal malt in the background. Flavor is quite dry, light pale malt flavor mixed with some more fresh hops, not terribly bitter, just light and crisp. Body is very light, which is my biggest problem, but it’s a good session ale. Little to no sweetness, some light fruity flavors as it warms. It held up fairly well for being 7 months old, though I don’t think the flavor quite lived up to the aroma and color.

For an aber ale this isn’t bad. For a beer, it isn’t the greatest. Pours a brown/amber in color with a nice whire head. Little hops compared to malts.

Beautiful color, subtle aroma with a hint of Irish heritage. Excellent hop notes, great balance of strength and spice for a smooth rich flavor. Pleasant long lasting rosie aftertaste with a woody tea like base. Very good beer with lots of natural character. Leaves me feeling satisfied long after the alcohol has left. The organic ingredients gives the beer and brewer an opportunity for quality and attention to detail in the flavor process. I love it and it’s a favorite of mine. Close to being a perfect beer but needs a just a hint more of malted skunkiness. I recommend it!

Pours a hazed bronze body with a small tan head. Nose is not hopped, as expected. Has a woody and sea-like aroma. Some grainy notes in there as well. The taste is also grainy and malty, but has some odd chracteristics that I can't discern. It's not overly hoppy, like the Wild Salmon or organic IPA, but has enough to make an appearance, so to speak. Mouthfeel is perfect for an amber ale, and the finish very smooth. It sort of cuts off towards the end. Good beer!

usually try to stay away from "organic" anything. I accidently pulled two of these for a trade so I thought I'd try it. "Spawned on" date is June. I have no idea which year. I don't want to get off on a rant here, but it seems if a company is going to go through the trouble of putting freshness dates they would add the year to it as well. I'm not afraid of a beer that's 10 months old, but I'd really like to know which decade at least. Pours a dark amber with only a little head, and that was after a rather vigorous pour. No lacing. Smells floral with some malt sweetness to it. The taste has an interesting balance to it. It's almost syrupy sweet yet there some decent hoppiness to it. Mouthfeel is about what you'd expect. Drinkability is okay. There's many other ambers I'd have before grabbing this again.

Hazy orange color with a large beige head. Sweet malty honey aroma. Nice sweet malty flavor with a spicy hops finish. Medium feel.

Hazy amber color with a nice frothey, rocky beige head. The aroma was very much like iced tea...some nice malty sweetnes also. The flavor was more malty sweet with a definite hops bite to ie...slightly earthy and burnt. Soft, medium thick feel.
