smell is orange spice, caramel, roasted nuts, tingles the nose a bit from the perfume.
taste is organic... i don’t know what it is but every organic beer i try has a definite funk taste to it, spice, body is creamy, leaves the mouth oily, sweetness, malts.
this beer would be much better without the organic funk, but i guess you just cant get away from that, otherwise it is a good beer. drfabulous (1240), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2007 I ordered the IPA from bottletrek.com, but I got the amber. A bit of a let down since I’m a big fan of the barley wine. Bit of spices. Not like other Ambers I know. Bit hoppy. Kind of an odd beer. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Lightly sweet, caramellish aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, lightly sweet caramel malts and a very subdued bitterness. The mouthfeel is smooth and soft. An absolutely unspectacular Amber, but a pleasant and quaffable one. 270907 Grovlam (3809), Copenhagen, Denmark

Amber color, small white head. Bready malty nose. Malty, bready, typical pale ale with decent malt profile. A bit too light (4 % only).
