Flavor is caramel and toffee up front, and rather earthy and messy all the way through. Vaguely medicinal flavors in the finish, as well as some herbal notes. Tasty. boFNjackson (1315), Portland, Oregon, USA

Poured a slightly foggy, deep orange color with a thin white head that fizzed out quickly. Aroma consisted of woodsy hops and other spicy, earthy herbs. Flavors of hops up front with a strong burnt wood overtone that lead way to a malt balance. Very delicious brew. michael-pollack (2720), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 5, 2007 12oz Bottle (THANKS glkaiser): Aroma of hops. Smells piney, resiny, earthy, and a little floral. Poured a golden-amber color. Actually looks like natural bee honey. Small, rocky, off-white head diminished. Good lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Looks thin. Flavor is moderately bitter. Tastes hoppy and earthy, with notes of pine, herbs, some citrus, and a bit of caramel malt. Light to medium body. Watery texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. Overall, an ok IPA, but at least it’s organic. jdhunt76 (56), Winter Springs, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 21, 2007 Bottle. Tan - amber pour with an off-white head. Citrusey, floral aroma. Pleasant hoppy, citrusey sweetness at the beginning of the taste with a good bitter element emerging in the aftertaste. This is the first "organic" beer that I have actually enjoyed. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Updated: Mar 14, 200812 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a clear copper with a large beige head. Nose is citrus, pine and floral. Taste starts sweet, then then a little biscuity, then the citrus/piney hops take over and stick around to the finish and aftertaste. Body is medium, carbonation is moderate. THis has one of the most unique hop profiles i have ever tasted, which i think is due to the Pacific Gem hops, or how they are used here. Quite unique, in that there is both a strong citrus and a strong spicy hoppiness, that is unlike anything i have tasted. bhensonb (4347), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Sort of a pine/citrus mixed aroma. Very attractive. Very ale amber color with a low frothy white head that tries to lace. A few tatters. Medium bodied. Nice start of citrus, overcome by pine. There’s some malt, but it’s the hop interplay. The finish is not as dry as one might expect, and there is a good hop bite. Which seems to be a mix of citrus and floral. Leaves a very nice taste in the mouth. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Copper color with a medium head. Bright, citrusy aroma with lots of orange and hops. At first, I was disappointed in the flavor as it seemed a very subdued version of the aroma, but after a few sips, the hops build up to a nice, strong bitterness with an underlying sweet malt. I am usually terrified at the organic label on beers as they tend to warn of putrid liquid passed off as beer, but this is really quite good. iradog (31), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2007 The botle pours a dark golden orang color. It ahs an off-white head. The hops are the noraml for the style and it finishes dry. Not a terrible IPA but nothing to rave about.
