Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

One of the best looking IPA’s ive seen - Strange sourness to it, bitter but the hops seem to be MIA. Heavy and malty but not much flavor. Solid drink but much more bland than it looks.

12 oz bottle: hazy straw yellow color with tiny off white head. Aroma smells like dry hay, bit lager-like, maybe some faint toasted malt in the background, no hops to speak of. Flavor is malty, bit of honey and mild notes of herbal hops, with a thin, faintly bitter finish. Very blah - I’m dissapointed I bought this when there were other options that would have been much better.

Pours a yellow color with a short head with lots of co2. Citrusy-fruity-lavander nose. Strong bitter end.

Bottle. Pours golden but settles into a darker amber. Light white head, but cloudy with carbonation. Nose is subdued hops. Harsh on the palate, lingering dryness. Opens with a clean hoppiness but doesn’t go anywhere with it. Lots of grapefruit notes towards the middle. Ends bitter and dry.

Yeah, a very plain IPA. But solid, and very drinkable. Light body, light amber hue. Head diminishes quickly. Citrusy mainly, refreshing. Got it at a gas station so whatever...

Strong grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus and floral, lavender hops are somewhat pungent over the candylike sweetness of the malts in the nose. Clear deep golden orange body is topped by a generous, large bubbled, cream coloured head that collapses slowly to cover and leaves some sticky lacing on the glass. Strong grassy citrus hop flavours are almost juice-like over a very sweet malt base. Bitterness is quite pronounced if short with the aftertaste returning to a lingering sweetness that seems to offset sweet malts with tart grapefruit citrus/orange hops. Interesting that much of the flavour development is in the aftertaste. Medium body with lively carbonation though somewhat slick in texture. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (MLCC, Nov-06).

Having new IPA’s for me is my favorite past time. Huge IPA fan and this one ranks up there as a good one. Not great, but I would certainly drink it again. Alittle bitter and a little piney. Not bad.

Nice light golden color, some haze, nice initial head with great lacing, although head retention was short lived, thinned to only a covering rapidly. The aroma was some sort of candy sweetness initially with lemons and grapefruits prominent, a touch of pine. The flavor picked up in much the same fashion, although the candy sweetness was not really there. Strong lemon-grapefruit combo going on, crisp pine in the bitter hop finish. Not enough in the malt backbone to make this one excellent (certainly lacking depth), and the mouthfeel was subsequently thin.
