Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

ummmm...poor. citrus and earthy aromas. flavor is very earthy and hoppy...but not balanced. Has an ashy taste and it seems to me the i can taste the alcohol. fuller body and palate is some bitterness and light carbonation.

super clear orange body with a small white head.aroma was a typical (but lovely) west coast hop buquet of citurs and pine.flavor mixed the aroma up with some earthy type hops.mouthfeel was a bit thin, and i could have dome without the mud.....i mean "earth" flavor.

12 oz. bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours hazy, medium amber with barely a thin layer of bubbles despite a vigorous pour. Mild aroma, lightly toasty malts, clover, floral and lemony hops. The flavor is fairly unremarkable, (but I’ll remark on it anyway) hop dominated with some toasty malts evident among the citrus, lemon and sprucey hops. One thing I must say is that this organic brew doesn’t have the "ashy" taste that I’ve found in several other organic offerings. Medium body and slightly prickly carbonation.

Picked up a sixer at the Sacramento Natural Food coop. Poured golden with almost no head. Aroma of citrus and pine lots. After a slight sweet touch, the refreshign bitterness takes over. finishes clean and refreshing. A solid IPA, but nothing to write home about, excpet for its use of organic ingrediants.

Bottle: Cloudy gold with a small white head. It has an aroma of dry pine needles on the forest floor as well as grapefruit rind. It follows this with a wonderful bitter taste of junipers, pine and a light wheat flavor. The aftertaste is dry and it has higher than average carbonation. The body seems just right - not too big, not too small.

Draught. Pours orange/amber with a small white head. Very piney aroma, plus some other vegetal components; almost all hops in the aroma. Flavor starts out a bit more malty; slightly sweet with maybe fresh citrus. The hops are more bittering here, although a bit of pine is still detectable, with a hint of grapefruit in the finish. Clean on the palate. A solid Northwest IPA.

Bottled. Pours an orange amber iwth a lacy off-white head. Big aroma with floral, citrus, grassy, earthy hops. The body is medium with light carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet with with citrus, toffee, and (no surprise here) a nicely pine/grapefruit hoppy finish.
