Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

Pours golden w/ shallow creamy froth. Crisp flowers on the nose. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. A thin specimin w/ crsip clean flavors. Slight asprin finish. Very different, a more delicate style. Just a hopped up P.A. The flavrs are very enjoyable but not what I like in an IPA.

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy, combined with a touch of caramel. The flavor is sweet with lots of caramel and lots of hops, but also a touch of butter, leading to a dry bitter, hoppy, and fruity end.

bottle-dull orange with a small soapy white head. fresh citric nose with lots of tangerine, lightly fussel but well controled by the citrus. flavors are less hoppy than the aroma suggests with a very slight caramel malt base, pine, and some organic green hop and malt tones. tea-like palate with soft carbonation for the style. overall, a very nice ipa with nice citric qualities, but not much malt profile

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours amber coloured with a slight haze and a creamy, off-white head leaving some laces. Fresh, citrusy nose. Medium-bodied with some caramel malt, notes of elder flower. Hoppy finish. Thanks to presario for this. 150506

Pours hazy orange with dense white head. Grassy hops, nutty malty toffee aromas. Bitterness lingers, burnt toast in the background. astringent finish.

<para>12-ounce bottle. Big earthy hops on the nose, but not nuclear-powered hops by any means. The malt profile of this beer is fine, but it crumbles under the offbeat hops. Full-on straw and other drought-y flora dominate all the way across the tongue; the hop palate is dry enough to smoke in the shower and worthy of being called unique. The finish is a parchy little puff of herbal tang. The aromatics fall apart if you forget this beer on the table in front of you for too long, and it stops being very interesting after about 15 minutes--but in the prime of its pour it’s really an IPA unto itself.</para> <para>
</para> <para>UPDATE: Draft at the Parkway’s Day of IPAs. Comes out to a higher rating by far on draft; I had it at 3.4 out of the bottle. Huge clean herbal hop flavor.</para> <para>Draft at Brouwer’s Cafe Hopfest ’06. **Super-Hopped version**. Big head and even more of the big, earthy, leafy flavor right from the attack to the last esophagal trickle. You can really taste some primordial connection with the organics in this beer. Makes me all weepy and go-watch-the-sun-set-y.</para>
