Commercial Description:
Fish Tale IPA is a medium bodied ale with a bright golden color and robust strength. While Pale, Carastan, and Munich malts lend a gentle sweetness and balance to the background palate, this ale is dedicated to complex hop flavor.

Something not quite right with this one for me, a metallilc bite that made me wonder if I got a bad bottle. Since no other reviews mention this I’ll try to re-rate at another opportunity.

Pale clouded golden, well carbonated, moderate head formation. Citrussy orange, earthy aroma. Very dryish palate, heavily bittering hoppy grapefruit citrus, bites strongly in the finish. Underlying tangerine is subtle and lingers slightly in the aftertaste.

Golden pour with a medium white head. Nice hop filled aroma with wonderful subtle sweet malt undertones. Mild bitter but very nice and enjoyable, bitter gives way to malt goodness that is sweet and enjoyable. Nice underrated beer.

piney hop aroma, some maltiness. Pleasant, but understated for an IPA. Pours a light amber-yellow, kind of flat, nice foamy head. Hop bitterness in the front and middle, lacking in the finish. Underwelming.

Doughy malt and pine hopping in the nose; smooth, slightly oily bodied and a rather malty front end....musty with vague medicinal notes; moderately bitter with a clean, spicey, lemony tartness. Complex and well done, though I can’t say I’m crazy about it.

This is a new brewer for me. Thanks to Pigboy for grabbing me something I can not get in my local area. Sadly, this one did not impress me greatly. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a light amber color with a small white head. The aroma is strong with grapefruit. The flavor is sweet, yeasty and mildly nutty with a hop profile that is milder that the aroma would lead one to believe.

Drinkable and refreshing, this poured a golden amber with a frothy white head. The aroma was hops, citrus, mowed lawn, caramel. Thin bodied. Good carbonation. The flavor was grapefruit/hops and decent but, on the whole, unimpressive.
